Welcome to the 5YLeague. Here's the straight skinny...This is a ten team league split into two divisions. Division One is considered the better of the two leagues only in that more games are played, and there are more teams. There are six teams in Division One, and they play out a 140 game schedule. There are four teams in Division Two, and each team plays 102 games. There is no interdivisional play, ever...not even an all-star game...Don't ask.

At the end of each season, the last place team in Division One will drop to Division Two, while the first place club in Division Two will move up to Division One. In case of a tie in either division, I will abide by a set of rules I figgered out way before league play began.

This project is designed to follow a five season progression, beginning with players drafted straight outta the 1998 NL. The second season of the 5YLeague will use players from the 1999 NL campaign, and so on until five seasons have come and gone. Players will remain with their 5Y teams "for life," or until I come up with something I like...
